About us

Situated in the village of Nateby just a mile south of Kirkby Stephen, our Traditional Cumbrian Inn can be found in the centre of the Village, directly opposite the road leading to Swaledale.

If you are just passing through Nateby, part of the local community, or staying in our B&B letting rooms, we are sure you will enjoy your time with us in our lovely country Inn.

With a strong focus on food, we feel we are unique to the area because we serve, not only "Traditional favourites",but also an authentic "Italian Menu", including fresh stone baked Pizza to eat in or Take-away.

The Black Bull Inn is easily reached from either the M6 or the A66, and is a great base for exploring the Eden Valley, The Yorkshire Dales & Lake District National Parks. The local area is full of lovely walks that are suitable for all abilities, and the scenery is spectacular.

After a day exploring enjoy a hearty dinner, some great local beers, quaffable wines and friendly company all in the comfortable Olde Worlde atmosphere of The Black Bull Inn.

Our guests tend to visit for a relaxing break, a base for a walking or cycling adventure,to break up a long journey, or simply to try our great food.
